ITMO Dormitory Guide: How to Get a Place
If you have any question about check-in proccess, write to the International Students Learning and Support Center at int.students@itmo.ru.
Also, no later than ten days before entering Russia write to the Migration Services Office at omu@itmo.ru with your planned date and time of arrival and border crossing point.
When filling in your registration form, you need to put a tick next to “I need a dorm and temporary registration for the period of my studies”.
In your personal applicant’s page, you need to attach scanned copies of the following documents:
Medical assessment of a chest X-ray performed in Russia, not older than 12 months;
Vaccination certificate.
Once you have access to your ITMO.ID, log in to your personal account at my.itmo.ru. Within two to three days after authorization, you will see your place in the dormitory waiting list under the "Dormitories" tab.
Make sure that all medical documents have been uploaded from the applicant's application form. If anything is missing, please enter the required data manually in your personal account on my.itmo:
You must enter a date for each vaccination record; otherwise, the system will not process your application. Date format example: 02.08.2026.
At the end of August, check-in begins according to the electronic queue in accordance with the Priority Procedure for Allocating Spaces.
Within 48 hours (24 hours for international students) after receiving the email notification about your dormitory assignment, you must select your check-in date and time. The date and time can be chosen independently from the available options in the "Dormitories" tab on my.itmo.ru.
NB! You cannot choose the specific dormitory. Residential premises are not provided to parents or other representatives of students.
To move into an ITMO University dormitory, you need:
Your passport and a copy of it.
Notarized parental consent in accordance with form 1 (in case the applicant is below 18).
Two 3x4 cm photos.
The certificat of vaccination.
In order to verify your dormitory address and move-in date as an international student, you will need to:

await the reply with details on entering the country;
You have to get your migration registration at ITMO’s Migration Services Office on the day of your move-in or the next working day (excluding weekends and holidays).
To get your migration registration, you will need the following documents:
your passport (or any other ID that you used to enter the country);
your current migration registration (if applicable);
your migration card with an official stamp indicating that you’ve crossed the Russian border.
