Competition for financial support for Bachelor's and Master's students for the spring semester exchange 2025
The dates: 05.11.2024 - 20.11.2024

The competition is held in two stages; according to the results of each stage, financial support is assigned.

Participants who have passed an online interview as part of the semester exchange contest are allowed to participate in the competition for financial support.

To be considered for financial support, the applicant must provide:

The first stage: "before the start of the mobility period".

· Certificate of proficiency in English or the other language (if the medium of instruction at the partner university is other than English), obtained as a result of the English exam, minimum B2(6.5) or equivalent (IELTS, Official IELTS trial test in St. Petersburg, TOEFL, Duolingo Official Test, CAE);

· The minimum average grade for the entire period of study is 4.5 (first-year graduates indicate the average score for a bachelor's degree+the first master's semester)
*disciplines passed without a grade (зачет/passed) are not taken into account when calculating the average grade);

· A list of subjects to be obtained at a partner university, with the amount of at least 20 credits;
*Master’s students: 12 credits (of minimum 20 credits) are chosen according to the educational program (specialization) and are to be re-credited to the ITMO subjects;
*Bachelor’s students: 9 credits (of minimum 20) are chosen according to the educational program (specialization) and are to be re-credited to the ITMO subjects;

· Letter of recommendation (a clear scanned copy) from the head of the program indicating the purpose of participation in academic mobility program;

· Participation in a scientific or research work/project (assessment on a portfolio in ISU): at least one event;

· Participation in a scientific or educational conference (assessment by portfolio in ISU): at least one event;

· Before leaving to study in the ISU system, in the "Application for academic mobility" section, the status of the application must be "Documents uploaded", field "5. Application Request / Формирование заявления"

Based on the results of the fulfillment of all the conditions of the first stage, the candidate is assigned the payment of financial support for a period of two months, starting from the date of arrival at the partner university (arrival is confirmed by a confirmation of arrival, signed by the coordinator of the host university).

The second stage: two months after arrival at the partner university, student:

· Provides the commission with information about work/participation in research groups or research projects, participation in conferences (e.g., presenting reports, poster presentations), and promotion of ITMO (student fair, etc.);

· Takes over a telegram channel during the week, paying attention to the educational and scientific sphere; shares information on innovations in education and science. To gain access to the telegram channel, the student must independently contact the staff of the Academic Mobility Department at outgoing@itmo.ru within the first month of studies;

· The individual curriculum after making changes upon arrival for studies (during mobility/во время мобильности) contains at least 20 credits at the partner university:
 *Master’s students: 12 credits (of minimum 20 credits) are chosen according to the educational program (specialization)/are to be re-credited to the ITMO subjects;  
*Bachelor’s students: 9 credits (of minimum 20) are chosen according to the educational program (specialization)/are to be re-credited to the ITMO subjects;

· The section "During Mobility" must be approved by you, the OSOP, and the head of the educational program at the time of submitting the report on completed work.

· Based on the results of fulfilling all the conditions of the second stage, the candidate continues to receive monthly financial support for the remaining period of academic mobility, starting from the third month until the end of the semester exchange at the partner university (confirmed by a confirmation of completion signed by the coordinator of the host university).

The amount of financial support is up to 60,000 rubles per month. The maximum payment of financial support does not exceed 5 months.

The deadline for submitting applications is November 20 inclusive.
