Green campus
ITMO University provides its students and staff with all the conditions for an eco-conscious lifestyle and supports their green initiatives, such as the ITMO.GREEN student club.
Apart from organizing events dedicated to lessening our environmental impact, ITMO University has already introduced two initiatives that will lower its carbon footprint.
Waste sorting at ITMO
ITMO University has a waste sorting program active on each of the campuses. We believe that anyone can help maintain the environmental balance – and the more opportunities there are, the better. Both students and staff participate in ITMO’s green initiatives. We send separated waste to recycling centers, which is the most efficient approach to the matter.
Water dispensers
By equipping each of its campuses with water dispensers, the university provides everyone with free and easy access to drinking water and cuts down on the consumption of plastic, which is the most popular material that also has the slowest decomposition rate.
