Yegor Gaidar Scholarship

The Russian Ministry of Education and Science has announced the Yegor Gaidar scholarship contest for all students interested in economics research.

Application period: from March 1 to April 27, 2023.

You can take part if you: 

  • are a Bachelor’s, Specialist’s, or Master’s student and are not graduating this year;
  • are enrolled full-time;
  • are a Russian or foreign citizen;
  • are enrolled at a program within the 38.00.00 Economics and Management subject area;
  • have “good” and “excellent” grades over the whole period of studies;
  • have taken part in research in the field of economics.

How to take part in the competition:

Yuri Maslyukov Scholarship

The Russian Ministry of Education and Science has announced the Yuri Maslyukov Scholarship contest.

Application period:  from March 1 to April 27, 2023.

You can take part if you:

  • are a Bachelor’s, Specialist’s, or Master’s student and are not graduating this year; 
  • are enrolled full-time; 
  • are a Russian or foreign citizen;

  • have “good” and “excellent” grades for the latest interim exams;
  • have taken part in the university’ research activities during the previous year. 

To prove that you have taken part in research activities, you have to provide proof of at least one of the following: 

  • reception of an award or grant, or a document or patent proving your exceptional rights to the results of research activities;
  • publication in a scientific or academic journal;
  • public presentation of your work at a conference, seminar, or other event.

Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn Scholarship

The Russian Ministry of Education and Science has announced the Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn Scholarship contest for students with outstanding achievements in the fields of literature, political studies, and journalism.

Application period: from March 1 to April 27, 2023.

Payout period: one academic year

You can take part if you: 

  • are a Bachelor’s, Specialist’s, or Master’s student and are not graduating this year; 
  • are enrolled full-time; 
  • are a Russian or foreign citizen; 
  • have “good” and “excellent” grades over the whole period of studies;
  • have created literary pieces or taken part in research in the field of literature, political science, and journalism. 

For Master’s students wishing to apply, only the achievements during their Master’s studies will be reviewed. 

How to take part in the competition: 

  1. Compile an application. 

State your full name, academic group, and name of your program.

  1. Attach the documents confirming your achievements. 

All files should be in the PDF format.

  1. Send your application. 

The subject line should read “заявка на стипендию Солженицына” (application for the Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn scholarship). Attach your files and send them to csn@itmo.ru.

Sergei Korolev Scholarship

The Russian Ministry of Education and Science has announced the Sergei Korolev Scholarship contest for students with significant achievements in engineering.

The contest is being held until July 20, 2023

The contest is open for:

  • Bachelor’s and Specialist’s students, starting from their second year;
  • Master’s students, starting from their first year;
  • Full-time students;
  • Students with Russian and foreign citizenship.

Selection criteria:

  • being a student in one of the subject areas listed in Appendix 1
  • (in Russian);
  • “good” and “excellent” grades over the year prior to application and no accumulated academic backlog over the entire period of studies;
  • one or more achievements, acquired in the year prior to application (starting from January 1, 2022).

To apply for the scholarship, you need to:

  1. Fill out a form and the corresponding appendices and save it as a DOC file without a signature (Appendix 2);
  2. Fill out your consent to personal data processing (Appendix 3);
  3. Create a folder with your achievements (published articles, contests, research) on Yandex.Disc (following the steps outlined in Appendix 4). Here, your archive should contain PDF files;
  4. Send your filled out form and consent to personal data processing along with the link to the folder to scholarships@itmo.ru Стипендия С.П. Королева in the subject line).

Payout period: 2023/2024 academic year (in monthly installments).

Kamil Valiev Scholarship

The Russian Ministry of Education and Science has announced the Kamil Valiev Scholarship contest for students with significant achievements in the electronics industry.

The contest is open for:

  • full-time Bachelor’s, Specialist’s, and second-year Master’s students.

Selection criteria:

  1. applicants must study within one of the subject areas listed in Appendix 1 (in Russian);
  2. “good” and “excellent” grades over the year prior to application, with “excellent” grades making up at least 50% of all grades received; no accumulated academic backlog over the entire period of studies;
  3. one or more of the following achievements in the electronics industry, acquired between 01.01.2022 and 31.12.2022:
    • publications in indexed journals or conference proceedings;
    • research grants;
    • victories in international or national competition, as well as any other contest;
    • participation in the federal project Training professionals and creating the foundation for the electronics industry;

Application deadline: 3 pm (Moscow time, GMT+3), August 21, 2023.

To apply for the scholarship, you need to:

  1. Fill out a form and the corresponding appendices and save it as a DOC file without a signature (Appendix 2);
  2. Fill out your consent to personal data processing (Appendix 3);
  3. Create a folder with your achievements (published articles, contests, research) on Yandex.Disc (following the steps outlined in Appendix 4). Here, your archive should contain PDF files;
  4. Send your filled out form and consent to personal data processing along with the link to the folder to scholarships@itmo.ru (write Стипендия К. А Валиева in the subject line).
  5. Once your application is processed, you will need to come to the Student Services Office to sign your application documents (between August 16-21, 2023).

Payout period:2023/2024 academic year (in monthly installments).
