Registration is currently underway for DU Lab Summer School – a two-week intensive educational program by ITMO University and its international partners. This is your chance to turn your idea into a globally ambitious startup and become a part of the world’s gamedev and AI community – guided by top mentors from Russia, China, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Thailand, and Malaysia.
The school will take place online in English on August 11-22.
Program
International teams. You’ll learn to validate and package your ideas for international markets along with other participants from China, Thailand, Brazil, Peru, the Philippines, Panama, Argentina, Colombia, and other countries.
Mentors and speakers from 10+ countries. You’ll have direct access to international business experience and be able to communicate with experts of various levels to have the most out of global networking.
From an idea to an accelerator-ready project. You’ll learn how to start a project from scratch: namely, you’ll get to know how to define a problem, formulate an idea, identify your target audience, analyze the market and your competitors, outline a revenue strategy, and package your project for global accelerators.
Gamedev track: from an idea to your first build. You’ll dive into the basics of gamedev: you’ll learn to collect a core loop, formalize your idea into a GDD, and apply AI to create game mechanics and visuals. During a three-day game jam, you will assemble a small team and create your very first build; on the final day, you’ll get to discuss your project with mentors and exchange your ideas with the rest of the gamedev community.
Academic credits (ECTS) and ITMO official certificate. You’ll get an official certificate of participation for your portfolio.
