Sergei Korolev Scholarship

The Russian Ministry of Education and Science has announced the Sergei Korolev Scholarship contest for students with significant achievements in engineering.

The contest is being held until October 9, 2025.

The contest is open for:

  • Second to final year Bachelor’s or a Master’s students; 
  • Full-time students;
  • Students with Russian and foreign citizenship.

Selection criteria:

  • being a student in one of the subject areas listed in Appendix 1 (in Russian);
  • “good” and “excellent” grades over the year prior to application and no accumulated academic backlog over the entire period of studies;
  • for candidates studying in the first year of Master's programs: no “satisfactory” grades based on the results of the state final examination under higher education programs;
  • one or more achievements, acquired in the year prior to application (starting from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024).

To apply for the scholarship, you need to:

  1. Fill out a form and the corresponding appendices and save it as a DOC file without a signature (Appendix 2);
  2. Fill out your consent to personal data processing (Appendix 3);
  3. Create a folder with your achievements (published articles, contests, research) on Yandex.Disc (following the steps outlined in Appendix 4). Here, your archive should contain PDF files;
  4. Send your filled out form and consent to personal data processing along with the link to the folder to scholarships@itmo.ru Стипендия С.П. Королева in the subject line).

Payout period: 2025/2026 academic year (in monthly installments).

Kamil Valiev Scholarship

The Russian Ministry of Education and Science has announced the Kamil Valiev Scholarship contest for students with significant achievements in the electronics industry.

The contest is open for:

  • full-time Bachelor’s, Specialist’s, and second-year Master’s students.

Selection criteria:

  1. applicants must study within one of the subject areas listed in Appendix 1 (in Russian);
  2. “good” and “excellent” grades over the year prior to application, with “excellent” grades making up at least 50% of all grades received; no accumulated academic backlog over the entire period of studies;
  3. one or more of the following achievements in the electronics industry, acquired between 01.01.2023 and 31.12.2023:
    • publications in indexed journals or conference proceedings;
    • research grants;
    • victories in international or national competition, as well as any other contest;
    • participation in the federal project Training professionals and creating the foundation for the electronics industry;

Application deadline: June 5, 2024.

To apply for the scholarship, you need to:

  1. Fill out a form and the corresponding appendices and save it as a DOC file without a signature (Appendix 2);
  2. Fill out your consent to personal data processing (Appendix 3);
  3. Create a folder with your achievements (published articles, contests, research) on Yandex.Disc (following the steps outlined in Appendix 4). Here, your archive should contain PDF files;
  4. Send your filled out form and consent to personal data processing along with the link to the folder to scholarships@itmo.ru (write Стипендия К. А Валиева in the subject line).
  5. Once your application is processed, you will need to come to the Student Services Office to sign your application documents (between August 16-21, 2023).

Payout period:2024/2025 academic year (in monthly installments).

Yegor Gaidar Scholarship

The Russian Ministry of Education and Science has announced the Yegor Gaidar scholarship contest for all students interested in economics research.

Application period: until October 9, 2025.

You can take part if you: 

  • second to final year Bachelor’s or a Master’s students;
  • are enrolled full-time;
  • are a Russian or foreign citizen;
  • are enrolled at a program within the 38.00.00 Economics and Management subject area;
  • are, based on the results of interim exams, have no “satisfactory” grades received from March 1, 2024 until February 28, 2025 and have no accumulated academic backlog over the entire period of studies;
  • for candidates studying in the first year of Master's programs: no “satisfactory” grades based on the results of the state final examination under higher education programs;
  • have one or more achievements in the field of economics, acquired during the contest period.

Yuri Maslyukov Scholarship

The Russian Ministry of Education and Science has announced the Yuri Maslyukov Scholarship contest.

Application period: until October 9, 2025.

You can take part if you:

  • are a second to final year Bachelor’s or a Master’s students; 
  • are enrolled full-time; 
  • are a Russian or foreign citizen;

  • for students who, based on the results of interim exams, have no “satisfactory” grades received from March 1 of the year preceding the year in which the scholarships are awarded until February 28 of the year in which the scholarships are awarded, and who have no accumulated academic backlog over the entire period of studies;
  • for candidates studying in the first year of Master's programs: no “satisfactory” grades based on the results of the state final examination under higher education programs;
  • have taken part in the university’ research activities for March 1, 2024 to February 28, 2025. 

To confirm participation in research activities, a student must provide evidence of at least one achievement in research or applied scientific work in the field of the defense industry, obtained during the competition period:

  • having a publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals or conference proceedings based on the results of research and development;
  • receiving a grant for carrying out research work;
  • being recognized as a winner of an international or all-Russian Olympiad, or another competitive event.
