Specialization 1: Basics of Molecular Organized Systems.

This specialization trains specialists with fundamental knowledge in the field of computational chemistry, modeling and forecasting of nonlinear processes and complex biological and chemical systems.


Specialization 2: Digitalization of Chemical Technology.

This specialization for learning disciplines required by the chemical and biotechnological industries, such as process automation and new methods of combined quantitative analysis.

Molecular Biology and Biotechnology

Specialization 1: Molecular Biology.

The specialization "Molecular Biology" considers projects related to DNA structures for the treatment of various diseases, sensors and systems for the diagnosis of infectious diseases.


Specialization 2: Modern Cell Biology and Microbiology.

The specialization "Modern Cell Biology and Microbiology" consist of disciplines in the field of cell- and microbiology.


Specialization 3: Industrial Brokerage in the Field of Biotechnology and Nanoengineering.

In this specialization competencies are developed not only in the field of biotechnology, but also in the field of economics, finance, and innovations. Students projects are based on real commercial startups, patents – everything related to the further commercialization of products.

Applied genomics

Specialization 1: Prokaryotes Genomics.

In the specialization"Prokaryotes Genomics", you will learn basics of genetic engineering, methods of genetic engineering, and also delve into the topics of pangenomics.


Specialization 2: Plant Genomics.

In the specialization "Plant Genomics" you will study the following areas: evolutionary genomics of plants and genomics of development, plant genomics and the opportunities that open up through the study and solution of fundamental and applied problems of plant objects.


Specialization 3: Animals and Humans Genomics.

The specialization "Animal and Human Genomics" is about regularities of epigenetic inheritance, mechanisms of genetic control of the formation and functioning of the immune system using immunological and genetic research methods will be considered, and the topic of single-cell genomics will also be disclosed.

Chemistry of Applied Materials

Specialization 1: Computational Design of Materials.

In the specialization you will study modern methods of computational chemistry (density functional theory, molecular dynamics) and their combinations with machine learning algorithms for the directional design of functional materials.


Specialization 2: Applied Materials.

In the specialization "Applied Materials" you will study the following areas of work with modern innovative materials:

  • synthesis of materials with practical orientation and their approbation in specific industrial processes;
  • engineering — the use of specific technological processes to obtain materials.

Specialization 3: Industrial Brokerage in the Field of Biotechnology and Nanoengineering.

Specialization 4: Nanopharmaceutics.

Students will learn approaches to obtaining non-conventional materials, methods of nanoformulation and targeted drug delivery, preclinical research, in other words, a full cycle: from research to development, preclinical research and clinical trials.

Specialization 3: Cleaner Production.

Implementation of industrial symbiosis and cleaner production methodology; development of environmental management system for pollution prevention; sustainable consumption of energy and other types of resources; development of environmental responsibility of companies


Specialization 4: Integrated Management (in Russian).

Specialization 5: Integrated Management.

The main focus is on the development, implementation and auditing of management systems according to international ISO standards in the field of environmental and energy management and quality management, as well as their integration in organisations and companies. Integrated Management specialization is provided by the University of Zittau/Görlitz in English
