You can choose any type of practice, regardless of the chosen form of study.
Practice options:
1. If you study remotely, but want to practice offline in your city/ country (subject to all security measures), you can do this in consultation with the head of the educational program.
2. With the offline form of training, you can also complete an internship, both full-time and distance learning. Many companies and research institutes, foreign companies and partner universities offer distance internships, where you can gain practical experience and knowledge.
Which kind of practical training is better, online or offline?
You can choose any type of practical training. The main thing is that it should be useful for your future professional development.
How does remote practical training work?
You complete your tasks by yourself with support from the heads of practical training at ITMO and the organization.Your work will be assessed after you submit your report.
Can I do my practical training onsite at a company in my hometown if I study remotely?
Yes, if you study remotely from your hometown, you can do your practical training onsite at an organization. The topic of your practical training should correspond to your educational program. Important! The place of your practical training has to be approved by the head of your educational program and your curator of practical training.
If I study offline, can I still do my practical training practice?
Yes. If the company is ready to work remotely, you can do your practical training remotely from anywhere in the world. Among the advantages of this choice are saving time and money, and the opportunity to work from home in a comfortable environment.
Can I do my remote practical training at ITMO?
It is possible. You need to contact the head of your educational program so that together you can decide which of ITMO’s structural units to choose for your remote practical training. The specific format and the individual task for your practical training should be approved directly by your head of practical training at ITMO.
Where can I find a position for my practical training?
— The internship curator at your faculty is already in contact with many companies in your field. You can ask them where it would be best for you to do your internship.
