Specialization 1: Data Analysis in Biology and Medicine.
Data analysis in biology and medicine: teaching biological and medical students to develop programming skills, data processing and statistical analysis, as well as their application to solve problems in various fields of systems biology.
Specialization 2: Algorithmic Bioinformatics.
Algorithmic bioinformatics: teaching computer science, mathematics and other technical students to apply their knowledge in bioinformatics, including advanced courses in statistics, algorithms and data structures, as well as introductory courses in molecular biology.
Big Data and Machine Learning
Specialization 1: Big Data Infrastructure Organization and Management Technologies.
The specialization focuses on the study of modern infrastructure for the collection, storage and processing of very large databases. You will be able to work as Data Engineer; research engineer on research projects; specialists of highly loaded data storage systems.
Specialization 2: Machine Learning and Big Data Analysis Technologies.
You will learn methods, models and highly efficient algorithms for automatic extraction of knowledge from data using machine learning methods, as well as data analysis using deep learning methods and neural networks. Specialization is focused on the following professions: research engineer; data analysis specialist; analyst and software developer in large research centers and innovative startups; researcher in the academic environment of leading world and Russian universities.
Specialization 3: Cognitive Technologies and Quantum Intelligence.
You will learn the modeling of complex socio-economic processes using modern methods of quantum information theory, cognitive technologies, machine learning and artificial intelligence. You will be able to work as a developer of new software; research mathematician (analyst) on new forms of economics and finance (cognitive economics); developer of artificial intelligence systems with elements of cognitive and quantum computing.
Specialization 4: Intelligent Thechnologies of Big Data in Medicine and Healthcare.
You will learn the methods of formalization, structuring, interpretation and assimilation of knowledge for decision support in medicine and healthcare. The specialization also includes courses in mathematical epidemiology and medical statistics.

Specialization 4: Software and Digital Transformation (in Russian and English, in collaboration with LUT).
The specialization is conducted jointly with LUT University, Lappeenranta, Finland and allows its graduates to acquire advanced knowledge and experience in the field of software design and development and digital services, as well as digital transformation of business processes in ICT. The program focuses on the application of engineering principles of software and systems development, including design methodologies, business process modeling, services and reengineering, operating principles, as well as approaches to maintenance and quality assurance.
Specialization 5: Network and Cloud Technology.
This specialization is focused on preparing students to solve professional problems in the field of networks, cloud systems and corporate services, as well as on designing network architecture, infocommunication services and applications. You will become specialists capable of developing and integrating cloud and network services into your business.
Students receive comprehensive training in modern network technologies, including software-configurable networks, data storage systems, cloud systems and services, virtualization, distributed computer systems and programming.

Business Information Systems
Specialization 1: Business Information System Modelling.
Specialization for Russian students in the double degree program. It involves studying at a partner university - the University of Rostock (Germany) in the second semester. Research work, practice and master's thesis are carried out within the framework of the International Scientific Laboratory "Intelligent Technologies for socio-cyberphysical systems" within the framework of joint guidance from teachers of ITMO University and the University of Rostock. The training and preparation of the master's thesis are carried out in English. As a result of the successful completion of the program and the defense of the master's thesis, students receive two diplomas. The number of places in the specialization is limited and recruitment for it is carried out within the framework of a separate competition after enrollment in the educational program.
