Module Translational Information Technologies

The module presents the principle of knowledge translation via the use of ICT for the collaboration of different fields of science and in finding solutions to practical interdisciplinary problems. For example, the development of mobile apps for medicine, data analysis of the market of cultural objects, intelligent transport systems, etc. The aim of the module is to equip students with practical experience in applying information technology in data analysis, acquisition of new data and knowledge, and solving problems in different subject fields (including interdisciplinary ones).

UNIX/Linux Systems in Infocommunications

The course is held online in English with Russian subtitles. The course covers basic knowledge and administration skills on UNIX/Linux operating systems. During training, students integrate into the international environment of IT specialists. In the course, students will learn the basic concepts at the core of UNIX/Linux systems, practice working with the command line, and get a basic understanding of the way programming and administration are done in such systems. The course also covers the specifics of using Linux systems on a personal computer, server, in cloud services and embedded systems. Students will also learn network functions and the basic concepts of information security.

Prerequisites: you need to complete the following  courses: Data Storage and Processing; Mathematics; Introduction to Digital Culture; Foreign Language (English)
