You can choose any type of practical training, regardless of the chosen form of classes.

Practical training options:

1. Complete your practical training remotely at the university or an organization.

• Reach out to the head of your educational program so that together you can decide which of ITMO’s structural units or other organizations to choose for your remote practical training. 
• The specific format and individual task for your practical training should be approved directly by your head of practical training at ITMO.
• Solve cases on the Profstazhirovki 2.0 (Professional Training 2.0) platform (in Russian). There are over 4,000 cases from more than 1,000 companies.

2. If you study remotely, but want to do your practical training offline in your city/ country (subject to all safety measures), you can do so by coordinating it  with the head of your educational program.

3. If you study offline, you can also do your practical training both online and offline. Many Russian and international companies, research institutions, and partner universities offer online internships, within which you can gain practical experience and knowledge.

4. If you are involved in the implementation of a joint business project (startup), then you have the opportunity to do an internship at your own company, a business accelerator or business incubator, innovation center, a specialized organization, or a structural unit of the university. In this case, you have to submit a certificate of registration as a resident / legal entity to the head of your practical training , as well as report on the results of the internship.

You can choose any type of practical training. The main thing is that it should be useful for your future professional development.

You complete your tasks by yourself with support from the heads of practical training at ITMO and the organization.Your work will be assessed after you submit your report.

Yes, if you study remotely from your hometown, you can do your practical training onsite at an organization. The topic of your practical training should correspond to your educational program. Important! The place of your practical training has to be approved by the head of your educational program and your curator of practical training.

Yes. If the company is ready to work remotely, you can do your practical training remotely from anywhere in the world. Among the advantages of this choice are saving time and  money, and  the opportunity to work from home in a comfortable environment.

It is possible. You need to contact the head of your educational program so that together you can decide which of ITMO’s structural units to choose for your remote practical training. The specific format and the individual task for your practical training should be approved directly by your head of practical training at ITMO.

Your practical training is supervised by several people:

• The head of your educational program approves the documents.
• Curator of practical training at the faculty / institute – oversees all practical training processes: assigns positions, interacts with organizations. Any ITMO staff member can become a curator of practical training.
• The head of your practical training at ITMO accepts the final report and evaluates the results. These specialists are assigned to each student from among the members of the teaching staff or researchers. They also create a work schedule (plan) of practical training, assign an individual task, monitor your actions, and provide methodological assistance.
• The head of practical training at a specialized organization (company) provides a workplace in the company for the period of your practical training, offers consulting and methodological assistance, and writes a review of the results of your activities during your practical training.
