- Compile a CV and write a letter of motivation .
- Send your CV to the selected companies and wait for their answers.
- If you need help with reaching a company, or want another pair of eyes on your CV and letter of motivation, reach out to us via careers@itmo.ru or careers@itmo.ru . As your subject line, put in “Looking for practical training.” In the email, list the organizations you would like to do your practical training at and attach your CV.
- Get a response from the organization and get the approval of the head or curator of your practical training – this is a mandatory requirement.
Transfer of your practical training credits: if you are doing an internship
You can get your practical training credits for an internship you do under the conditions that your curator of practical training and head of your educational program approve of this step. You will also have to take care of all the relevant documentation.
Other experiences that can be counted as your practical training:
- the results of an internship completed at an organization corresponding to your specialization at ITMO;
- the results of a research internship;
- participation in professionally-oriented summer/winter schools.
There are three things you need to discuss with the curator of your practical training and head of your educational program: deadlines, the program of your practical training, and the form in which you will have to report the results of the training.
